"Live in harmony with one another. Never be conceited, but associate with the lowly."

What a challenge these three things are! For me, harmony is when all the instruments in an orchestra are playing the same tune, and all following the conductor's lead. Sadly, within the greater church today there are many orchestras, each following its own particular conductor. So, to the non-Christian, all that is to be seen is contradiction and confusion, with each orchestra claiming to be playing the right tune.

I may be wrong, but it seems obvious, to me at least, that it is our pride, our conceit, which is creating these divisions; these seperate groups. Plus, for most of us, again in our conceit, WHAT we believe seems to be more important that WHO we believe. If we would only focus on believing our God's Word, trusting his Spirit to lead us into all HIS truth, as Jesus promised he would, then we would be able to wholeheartedly say "Amen" to the apostle's statement in 2Tim 1:12 "I am not ashamed for I know who I have believed."

If we would only be willing to be like the Master as he described himself in Matt 11:29 saying, "Take my yoke upon you and learn from me for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls."
