"Woe to those who go down to Egypt (the world?) for help, and rely on horses, (natural resources?) who trust in chariots (man's technologies?) because they are many, and in horsemen (man's abilities?) because they are very strong, but do not rely on the Holy One of Israel, or consult the Lord."

When it comes to passages like the above, I sometimes wonder just how many of us simply do what the Word of our God tells us to do, and ask our Father what he is saying to us. This was a practice which he instilled in my heart very early in my life with him. He constantely remeindeds me of James 1:5, "If anyone lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives to all men generously, and without reproach, AND IT WILL BE GIVEN TO HIM." The key to this of course is to ask, trusting him, and accepting no doubts  about his willingness and ability to do just as he says, as we read in verses 6-8 of the same passage.
