"Whether you eat or drink, or whatever else you do, do all for the glory of God, giving no offense to Jew or Greek or to the church of God."

What a challenge that passage of our God's word would be to us if we would only take it to heart; if we would only wholeheartedly obey that exhortation in the power of the mighty Spirit of Christ within us, because obviously, we are, of ourselves, incapable of continually obeying that command, but remember, "The power which is at work in us is able to do far more than we could ever think or ask." (Eph 3:20)

But do we really believe that statement? Are we still excusing ourselves, saying we are only human? Have we never come to realise the awsome power of our God which he has placed in those of us who have been reborn of his Word and are now his children? Do we not take to heart the exhortation in 2Pet 1:3 "God's divine power has granted us everything we need for life and godliness (holiness)"? That is, a life which is wholly surrendered to his power!!
