Verse of the Week 2Chron 16:9 |

“The eyes of the Lord run to and fro throughout the whole earth seeking to show his might on behalf of those whose hearts are blameless towards him.”
What a glorious encouragement this is to all of mankind, and it ties in so perfectly with John 3:16,”God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son that whoever believes in him should not perish but have everlasting life.”
That first verse also make a very important fact clear as far as our God is concerned, i.e. “The Lord does not see as man sees; manlooks on the outward appearance, but the Lord looks on the heart.” So our actions, good or bad, are nowhere near as
important as our heart attitude. He is prepared to forgive and cleans us of our sinful actions IF our hearts are “blameless towards him.” When my wife, Terri, and I look back together over our lives all we can see is the simple fact that this beautiful God was watching over us, guiding, directing, showing his might and love as he led us in the way which he knew was best for our eternal good, though I have to say, this was never an easy road. However, the fact that he was doing this long before we came to know him, as he revealed himself to us in Christ Jesus, has always been a thing of great wonder to us both.
Something else which also causes us to wonder, though in a different way, is the question of how many of the brethren actually mediate on, and speak with others about what he has done in their lives, marvelling, with a deeply grateful heart, at his amazing grace.
HOW BLESSED WE ARE!!!
