For too long very many of us have had, for a variety of reasons, our attention focused on our being saved from ourselves, from death and from hell, in order that we might end up in heaven. It’s so seldom we hear, in many places, about God’s real purpose in this great work of his which he accomplished in Jesus Christ. Yet the Word clearly tells us that we “have died to the law through the body of Christ, so that you may belong to another, to him who has been raised from the dead, in order that you may bear fruit for God.” Rom. 7:4. But are we doing so, really? |
